For the past week we have being doing Te Reo Maori In our class. We had to take pictures of things that are in our class so that we can put it on our google slides. We had to put on a slideshow he aha tenei with us holding the object that we wanted. Then on the other slide we say he something tena but we really don't say he something tena for example He aha tenei he He Rorohiko Tena. We are learning to Understand Te Reo Māori words for items around the classroom.

Science fair
For the past 8 weeks we have being doing science fair. We had to pick a real world problem in our house. My science fair question was what battery lasted the longest. We tested Rechargeables, Max life and Eveready. We thought that the rechargeable batteries will last the longest because they cost the most and said they lasted for 13 hours, on the packet. We tested the batteries on a remote controlled car. There was one person looking at the timer/looking at the car and me writing down the time. The timer person was really doing nothing but just being the captain. It was a bit boring being the writer. I like watching Darrius driving the remote control car. I think I need to work on being patient
and not telling him to drive the car. The LINK

marble challenge
This term we did a marble challenge. The challenge was to see who could get a marble to land 110 cm from the end of the ramp . My buddy was Kayden. On the first day of practicing we had to get materials to make anything we wanted. To make the marble travel 110 cm . My teachers had names of the groups in a jar. There were two of my teachers; one was testing us and the other one was testing their own marble bridge or hill. Someone did my one and I came 3rd to 5th. I did someone else’s and I did a pretty good job of testing it. If anyone gets 110 cm then they will get 5 points. If they get it between 109 cm to 100 cm they will get 3 points . If they get it between 99 cm to 50 cm they will get 2 points. If they get it between 49 cm to 20 cm they will get 1 point . You have 5 chances to roll the marble. The best thing about it I was the first person to get 110 but IT WAS THE LAST MOVE...

Journey animation
Journey animation is what we have been doing for the last 2 weeks. I have got nearly 200 slides. That is a big thing for me because I don't do that much work normally. It's not just about slides it's also about speech bubbles and time AND MOVING THEM AROUND!!! It took about 3 to 5 hours to make it. But it was worth it. Some people did 910 slides and it took them 4 to 6 hours. Right now I have got 193 slides so far. I like the first 83 slides because it is about the army having a gun war and trying to kill the the bad guys. Right now my buddy is Dalton and he is doing the same work as me because, when he's gone I'm doing the work, or when I'm doing something else he's doing the work. The way I do my animation is make a google slide and put all the stuff on a slide then click on the slide then you push Ctrl d then that will duplicate the slides, and you start slowly moving the stuff you want to move.

Rippa rugby
1 month ago, some Paihia School students went to a Quick Rip tournament held at Kaikohe. The people that were in my team were Harlem, Dale, Kayden and Vaughan. Also there were 3 girls but I don't know what their names were. I got 4 tries and we bet some other schools but, I don't know their names. We also beat Mangamuka and won. It was not fair because they had year 4’s and 5’s but the year level was 6, we still won. I think we won because we had more experience. I love the bit when I got 4 tries. The bit that I hate is when the time bell just rang and then I just got a try but then it didn't count. The good thing was that we still won. I was so proud of myself.

Pet day
In Te Maunga we made vaseline saucers, biscuit decorating and we drew pictures that were on halloween with crayon. My favourite was the pet show. Mrs pou said to line up and then we walked to the field to see the dogs, rabbits, guinea pigs, cats and kiwai.
