Tips about the Wonder Project

Hello, my name is Dezray and I'm a year 7 student at Paihia School.  Week 9, in Te Ngahere was the last week of the Wonder Project. We had a great time with the Wonder Project engineers that came in and helped us learn about the Newton’s three laws of motion and how it can help our rockets. I really enjoyed them coming over and I hope that we get to do it again. The reason why I liked it was because we got to be in groups with our friends. The thing that I found hard was making the parachute. Next time I will try harder to make the parachute faster and help my group with more of the work. Has the Wonder Project ever came to your school before?

Ki O Rahi

Hello, my name is Dezray and I'm a year 7 at Paihia School. This week in Te Ngahere we have been learning how to hit a jump shot in Ki o rahi. Ki o rahi is a traditional Maori game and much more. It is a game with two teams trying to get a goal by hitting the pou and tupu. Most people in my class love P.E, so we all look forward to going out to P.E. As soon as we get out of the class, everyone gets excited and starts getting loud. After one growling we go. First we start with passing drills then jump and throw the ball to the next person, then the next. I had so much fun in P.E. Thank you for reading my post. Can you please comment on my post? Bye. I Am Hope, Treasure Hunt

Hello it’s Dezray here from Paihia School, I am a year 7 and have just finished a treasure hunt it took  awhile for it to get started so me and my class just waited for the rules. When it started the whole class just ran to the back field and the sandpit, I paired up with my friend Chum Chum and he got one prize, an ice cream pie. There were 15 prizes to be won, my other friend Stilly won 3 prizes. This was a fundraiser for “I am Hope” they have made over $7,000 so far and they help kids going through depression and mental health. I was not very happy because I got nothing I was a bit sad, but it’s just a game. Please comment on my blog and give me feedback or feed forward. Have you ever had a fundraiser at your school?

Things You Need To Know About Germs

Hello my name is Dezray and I'm a year 7 at Paihia School. This week in Te Ngahere we have been practicing social distancing, in the morning we went to the whare. Everyone thought it was level 1 because we normally go there at level 1. Soon as we got there we got told to be a meter a part and to pretend everyone had coronavirus me and my friends thought it was a joke until we went back to class and watched a video and how germs travel and need a host subjects and then multiply. I have really learnt a lesson today about germs and how they evolved.
